Through this activity, students will understand that music is all around them and is involved in their everyday lives. Students will create their own tambourine after reading "I Got the Rhythm."
Students will form a connection between music and drawing. They will listen to clips of songs and will use artistic measures to express how they feel.
Children will create a fall tree using paint with Q-tips as well as their handprint.
Children will be introduced to a variety of musical instruments in order to broaden their experience of music and sounds. Children will produce sounds with their own body parts in order to create a rhythm.
Part of the course is dedicated to teaching arts integration. In these lessons, art activities are directly connected with another content area, such as reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. The lesson is taught through art as opposed to explicit academic instruction.
Children need to have art incorporated into their everyday lives. By reading a book and doing an artistic activity afterwards, the children will have a dose of literature and art.
